From skyscrapers to sidewalks, concrete is one of the most used material used by contractors across the world and right here in Northern California. Though highly beneficial, when concrete becomes old it can become unsightly and therefore needs to be replaced. So where does the old concrete go? You guessed correctly, the landfill in many cases.

Beautiful Northern California is one of the most populated regions in the country. With a high population comes an excess amounts of waste and pollution. To help our beloved state and to contribute to a sustainable environment, Crete Crush provides services that recycles old concrete.

Our process is quite simple. Crete Crush collects and breaks down old concrete into aggregate. The break down process is done at one of our two locations in the Sacramento Area or with our mobile crushing systems. Uncontaminated concrete is crucial for a healthy recycling process, so we only accept concrete that is free of trash and debris. Once the concrete is crushed into a reusable aggregate product it is then able to be incorporated back into new construction or development projects. Since we opened our business we have recycled concrete from some of the region’s largest landmarks and placed that same concrete once crushed into Caltrans Class II AB into countless roadways and throughout Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo counties. The crushing of concrete decreases our carbon footprint and allows old material to be recycled and incorporated into roadway repairs.

As Crete Crush continues to develop, we are expanding our services beyond concrete recycling. We want to offer our customers more than a concrete service as we grow. Crete Crush now offers a dirt exchange program where we will provide or take excess construction spoils or “fill” to one of our many dumpsites or to a project short of material. We also offer reclaimed landscape materials that can be put to better use such as river cobble or boulders. We strive to reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as possible to keep Northern California beautiful.
