Sacramento Concrete Recycling There Is So Much More To Recycling Than For Self-Pleasure!
Here at Crete Crush you would be surprised to hear just how many times people make comments about how good it must ‘feel’ that our company focuses on recycling. In a sense that is true, but I also feel sorry for them that they really may not know the actual real benefits of recycling. It is not to make us peewee humans feel better. I would like to think that it is so that our children and our children’s children can have a better life here on this Earth.
I wish people would put as much thought into recycling as they do to their status updates on the newest social media pages. It they realized what day to day items can and should be recycled, they may very well be surprised. From cell phones to ink cartridges from a printer; there are tons of options for hundreds of items in your home that you would normally just throw out to the dumpster, which in turn leads to the landfills where they sit for years upon years.
There are some exciting facts associated with recycling that I love sharing with people when they start these conversations with me about how pleased I should feel. For instance, in 2010 enough people recycled their own aluminum cans that it was actually equal to over 15 million barrels of oil! Those are numbers to get excited about. What we do here at Crete Crush is exciting too, but never underestimate what one person or one family unit can do to help the community as well.
I really just want to end on this note, when people say it is ok to throw out this or that. Or they say that it does not make a difference. In 2004 alone, there was enough paper products recycled to save over 8.2 million trees from being destroyed. Now that is amazing and more than a reason to begin recycling now!
